Personal Details

No Shawn Mendes signature guitar would be complete without some personal design details that any fan of Shawn will appreciate. Laser etched on the wings of the bridge is a swallow inspired by the tattoo on Shawn’s right hand. In addition, each instrument has a hidden song lyric engraved inside the guitar body, it comes with a special label with a sunburst logo, and to finish it off, Shawn’s signature is inlaid at the top of the fretboard.

Symbolism of the Swallow

The swallow tattoo on Shawn’s hand has extra special meaning, because swallows are known to leave their home, but they always return, much like a touring musician.

Beautifully Sustainable

To make this guitar sustainable, Martin used 100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified tonewoods in the construction and included a gig bag made from recycled ocean plastic that meets the Global Recycled Standard . To achieve a vintage look, a special aging toner was applied to the Sitka spruce top. And to make it as comfortable as possible, Shawn chose a slightly scaled-down, auditorium-style body.
