Description
The 385 overdrive is an extremely dynamic amp-like overdrive
based off of the stock amplifier circuit in a 1950’s Bell & Howell 385
film projector. The amplifier inside the projector is a dual 6V6 tube
amplifier with two controls – Volume and Tone. Its unassuming and
compact design would lead you to believe there isn’t much use
for the amp in its stock form, but plug a guitar in and hold on! It’s
an incredibly responsive amp, capable of nice round clean tones
and screaming overdrive. With the 385 overdrive, our aim was to
capture the dynamic magic that this amp possesses, and make its
thick overdrive tones easily attainable through a pedal.
The 385 comes in a matte black finish with yellow ink featuring original artwork of a vintage Belle and Howell 385 projector ready to give you the dynamic tone you’ve been searching for.
The die cast enclosure’s exact size is 4.77" x 2.6" x 1.39". Power requirements are 9VDC (100mA minimum).
The use of an isolated power supply is recommended for powering all Walrus Audio Pedals. Daisy chain power supplies are not recommended. Power supply not included.
