Description

As the lead guitarist of Finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica, Elias Viljanen covers a lot of ground from fluid, melodic leads to uber-progressive riffs and odd-tempo rhythms. The guitar he uses to help create the band's legendary sound is his ESP E-II Signature Series model, the EV-7. It's a very unique seven-string guitar that offers neck-thru-body construction at 25.5" scale, pairing a comfortable alder body to a super fast, extra-thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck, with an ebony fingerboard that offers the band's logo inlays and 24 extra-jumbo frets. It offers the top-tier components you expect from an E-II model, including a Schaller straplock, Gotoh tuners, a Floyd Rose Original bridge, and a pair of outstanding EMG 707 (neck) and EMG 81-7 (bridge) pickups. The E-II EV-7's distinctive look is supplemented with a unique chrome pickguard over its black finish.
