The M7 is built with solid hard maple top as would all premium guitars. The solid top produces a rich, vibrant and clear tone compared to a veneer top. The Sire M7 has the modern bass shape built from Ash or Alder wood topped with solid maple to enhance the powerful look. The rolled fretboard edges are present to give the Sire signature playing comfort. The hardware and electronics of the top of the line modern bass are preferred by Marcus Miller to bring out his signature tone in the modern set up.
